Saito-san (TV drama)

One of my favoriteの日本人女優、観月ありさ主演の“斉藤さん”というドラマを3週間前にチラっと見てから、はまってしまいました。バカみたいにまっすぐなお母さん役をやっている観月ありさちゃん。似合っているんだな～。毎回、「まっすぐさ」にウンウンてTVにうなずいています。。。単純!!

今日の話。子供の間ではやっているから、仕方なしに数珠繋ぎでゲームを買い与えてしまう親の葛藤と、斉藤さんのように、子供はもっと楽しい事をしてほしいしけど狭い環境を作ったのは大人の責任だから、もっともっと違うことで楽しませてあげたいって。

L.A.に居た時に、日本が“たまごっち”や“Hello, Kitty”でフィーバーしていた事を思い出しました～（笑）

単純で、まっすぐなドラマ。。。好き嫌いあるかもしれないけど、今のモンスターペアレンツと呼ばれている人たちに見て欲しいものですねぇ～。

I hooked on TV drama "Saito-san". One of my favorite Japanese actresses, Arisa Mizuki stars as Saito-san.

She has straightened everything out. That is why I nod my head in agreement in front of TV every time. ha, ha. Yes, I'm so simple!!

I wish the Monster parents watch this drama and change their mind... No chance, huh?

Mini Wheats Cereal

じゃじゃ～ん!L.A.土産で買ってきたKellogg's Frosted Mini Wheats (Bite Size)で～す。残念な事に、日本ではPostから出てるMini Wheatsはたま～ぁに見つけるだけで、Kellogg'sはないんですよねぇ～。知っていたら教えてくださいっ!!

食感がサクサクからしんなり～って変わっていくから、美味しいんですよー。甘さもアメリカにしては珍しく控えめ!!なんで日本のKellogg'sさんは発売してくれないのぉ～（泣）

で、隣に置いたのはstrawberry味～。旨いっす!（blogで味のtastingが出来ないのが残念。）

もともと、Rice Krispiesのシリアルが大好きだったんだけど、試食用にMini Wheatsサンプルが付いていて・・・それを食べて即浮気!!でも、マシュマロ＆Rice Krispiesのバーも美味しいですよね♪（←すぐにsugar toothになりそうなので、要注意!）

アメリカのKellogg'sのhpにはた～くさんの商品が紹介されています。それに、しっかりMini Wheatsだけのhpがあって、they are so cute!

I got them at Los Angeles for my souvenir. They are Kellogg's Frosted Mini Wheats cereal. Unfortunately I can't find them in Japan. If I'm lucky, I can get mini wheats cereal of Post instead of Kellogg's. If you know where I can get, please let me know!

Anyway, I like eating quality. At the first they are flakiness of pastry and later that they are moist. Umm... Yummy. And They are not so sweet. I wish Kelloggs's Japan sell Mini Wheats here!!!

First of all, I used to like Rice Krispies. One day, I got sample of Mini Wheats then I cheated!! ha, ha. Well, I still like marshmallow and Rice Krispies bar. (It may cause bad tooth... watch out!)

If you go to Kellogg's HP, there are fun! There are a variety of products. And also there is "Mini Wheats" hp! There are so cute!!!

Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort

ババンバ　バンバン　バン～♪

って（ふるいっ!）曲が流れてきそうでしょう?

そう、“ここはシカモア・ミネラル・スプリング(Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort)の湯♪”です。

Los Angelesから101HYWでSan Franciscoへ向かう途中にある、San Luis Obispoという町です。L.A.からはだいたい2時間ちょっとかかったかな～。（途中、Santa BarbaraやSolvangに立ち寄っちゃうから・・・確実な時間が分からないんですよね。）

ここのホテルは、各部屋のパティオにジャグジーが備え付けられていて、温泉が出るんです!時間制限はあるけど、朝6時～夜11時まで入りたい放題。景色は・・・目の前に森が見えるだけなんですが。。。でも、きもちいぃーんです。

部屋のパティオ以外にも、山の中にスパが作られていて、予約制ですが森林浴を楽しみながら温泉を楽しむことも出来るんです。（日本の温泉は、熱くて苦手なんですが・・・ちょ～ど良い温度です=日本の温泉が好きな人にはぬるすぎるかも!?）

Los Agnelesに住んでいても温泉は楽しめるんですよ～。（ここの他にも、L.A.から10HYWで東へ約2時間いくと、Palm Springという場所があります。砂漠の中の温泉で、避寒地なんです。こっちはまた今度♪）

Here is Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort.

From Los Angeles it takes about 2 hours (maybe little more) by 101 HFW. (I always stop by at Santa Barbara and Solvang to go there. )

Each room has a private patio hot tub fed with naturally hot sulfur mineral spring water. You can take a bath between 6:00a.m. and 11:00p.m. whenever you like. From that view is only tree, tree, and tree, but you may feel comfortable!

Outside building, there is SPA on the hillside. You have to make a reservation, but you can take a bath and forest bath. (However, if you like Japanese style hot spring, it will be tepid bath. And also you have to wear a bathing suit.) Even you are in Los Angeles, you enjoy hot tub in California. (There is another hot spring in Los Angeles. That is Palm Spring. I'll talk about this later.)

BAND-AID

なぜか昔から大好きなものの一つ、BAND-AID。

子供の時から、すぐ痛いところがあると“BAND-AIDはる～”って、母親を困らせてたようです。たとえ、打ち身だろうが、捻挫だろうが・・・。口内炎が出来たときですら、“貼る～!”って聞かなかったみたいです。（いまだに覚えているんでうよね、その光景。確か、３歳か４歳位・・・）

で、今日ささくれを変なところで剥いてしまって痛いから、さっそく大好きなBAND-AIDをはりました。

実は、コレクターです（笑）

この前、L.A.へ行った時、また新しいもの買ってきました。えへっ。

で、一昨年買ったのは、☆BAND-AID PERFECT BLEND

ANTIBIOTICは、インフェクションからプロテクトしてくれるんですって（←ルー語!?）紫、グリーン、ターコイズブルーとかなりアメリカン好きのカラーです♪WATER BLOCK は、その名の通り、ウォータープルーフ。100%って言い切ってます!すごいっ。日本でも売っているキズパーワーパッドよりは薄めです。そして、PERFECT BLENDは、alluarで広告を見て欲しい!と思って、CVSへ走ったような・・・。さすがアメリカですね。バンドエイドの傷にあてるバッドの色が、ライト、ミディアム、ディープの3色から選べるんです。私が買ったのは濃い茶色のディープ。

ってな感じで、日本で販売していないBAND-AIDの種類がた～くさんあって、L.A.のdrug storeで探すのが楽しみの一つです。

One of my favorite is "BAND-AID" since I was kid. Is it weird?? Actually, my eternally favorite things are BAND-AID, cotton blanket as Linus, and SNOOPY! ha, ha, ha. I know, I know I'm not-quite-adult... As a child, I had put a BAND-AID on anywhere even it was sprain, bruise, or mouth inflammation. I'm sure my mother was amazed at my foolishness... ha, ha.

Why I picked up "BAND-AID", I got a hangnail, so I put it on!! Yes, I'm a BAND-AID collector!!! ha, ha, ha.

I got new products at Los Angeles.

Finding unreleased BAND-AID in the U.S. is one of pleasures for me :^)

Santa Monica Blvd.

Sherly Crowのヒット曲、“All I Wanna Do”にも出てくる、Santa Monica Blvd.。

特に、Santa Monica Blvd.を撮るつもりはなかったんだけど・・・たまたま赤信号でストップしていてたら、Christmas Lightingがまだあったので撮影しました。

Doheny Blvd.からLa Cienega Blvd.間のSanta Monica Blvd.が走っているエリアをWest Hollywoodと呼び、Gay & Lesbianのclub、barやお店が建ち並んでいます。

むか～し、Ramada Innに泊まった時の出来事。私達が、Cathouse(その当時あったHard Rock/Heavy Metalのclub）へ行く時、、化粧バチッリ＆ドレスアップでエレベーターの中に乗り込んだら、中に、私達が“負けました!”って位のマスカラ＆付けまつげをつけた、おねえさま達3人が乗っていて、お互いのドレス誉めあっちゃいました!!（笑）

Halloween時期は、Santa Monica Blvd.でHalloween Paradeがあり、とってもにぎやかです!おねぇ～さま達=“女優”だから、素敵(?)でおしゃれ(?)な仮装で現れるんですよぉ～♪

そそ、Hollywood Blvd.にもあるんですが、Famima!!(ファミマッ!!)がここSanta Monicaにもあるんですよ。昔確かliquor storeだったような・・・。日本から進出したんですねー。日本のファミマにある様な、おにぎりも売っているんですよ。Hollywood店は、店の前にStarbucks Coffeeの様ににパティオが設けられていて、お弁当とか食べれるんです。ちょっと風景がおもしろいです。check してみてね♪

It's my favorite song "All I Wanna Do" by Sheryl Crow. I wonder why she picked up "Santa Monica Blvd."... anyway, I'll talk about this street.

(I just wanted to take electric lights for Christmas decoration. Well, I was stopped at a red light on Santa Monica Blvd.)

This is West Hollywood area. Between Doheny Blvd. and La Cienega Blvd., there are gay and lesbian bars, nightclubs and shops. FYI, 1/3 of West Hollywood's are gay or lesbian !

More than 15 years ago, friends of mine and I stayed at Ramada Inn. We were on the way to Cathouse which was Hard Rock/Heavy Metal club, so we are heavily made up and dressed up. When we got on the elevator, there were gorgeous gay people!! We, girls were resigned. ha, ha. Anyway, we made a compliment outfit each others. In the Halloween parade, there are sooooooo many fancy gay people. Well, they called he is "Actress" not "Actor". That is make sense.

BTW, there is "Famima!!" that is came form Japan, on Santa Monica Blvd. and Hollywood Blvd. You can get Japanese-convenience store style Omusubi there!! Sounds interesting, hu?

The Cheesecake Factory

前にも取り上げたんだけど・・・写真を撮ったので、またまたThe Cheesecake Factory～。

今回は、Brentwoodへ行ってきました。（住んでた頃は、ここばっか行ってました。）

ここのウェートレス＆ウェイターはwell trainingされているので、席に着くとすぐに声をかけてくるのに、この日はなかなか誰も来ず・・・。で、10分位たってから“ちょっと待っててね、今行くから～”って、ウェイターが言ってたんです。そしたら、そしたらなんと、一緒にご飯を食べに行ったお友達のMiho-chanさんのお友達のex-boyfriendだったんですよぉ!!びっくり、びっくり。世間って狭いですねぇー。

私が食べてるのが、Shepehrd's Pie。My favoriteなんですよぉ～。前にも書いたけど、簡単に説明すると、固めていないミートローフの上にこれでもか!のマッシュポテトが乗っかっています。流石に食べきれないから、left overを持って帰って次の日の朝ごはんにしました～♪Miho-chanさんがオーダーしたのが、Famous Factory Meatloaf。これもボリュームありますよー。

そそ、Miho-chanさんは、Los Angelesで美容師さんをやっているんです。今までは、Beverly Hillsのお店でスペースをレンタルしてやっていたんですが、今はCentury CityのFOXの近くのビルに移動したんです。hpはhttp://www.mihostyle.com/。チェックしてみてくださいね。美容院の経営が面白いです。ビルの1フロアーすべて個人の美容師さんへレンタルしているんだって。プライベートルームで、各美容師さんが働いているんだって。だから、シャンプーからブローまですべて同じ美容師さん。日本のようにアシスタントがシャンプーするってスタイルとは違うんです。L.A.へ行って、髪の毛ケアしてみたいなと思ったら、是非行ってみてくださいね。日本語/英語大丈夫です。

話長くなるけど、ついでだから・・・Brentwoodのレストランは、かなりの確立でHollywood Celebritiesに会える場所です。（パパラッチとは遭遇したことないけど・・・）私が見たり、友達が見たりしたのは、クリスチャン・スレーター、ダスティー・ホフマン、トム・クルーズ、ハリソン・フォード、ウィル・ファレルなどなど（もっと一杯いるけど・・・）、日本人は松田聖子＆さやか、福山雅治などなど。素なcelebritiesを見たいという人は、checkですよー♪

I talked about the Cheesecake Factory once before, but...

This time my friend, Miho-chan and I went to TCF in Brentwood. (Actually, I used to go there alot.)

All waitress and waiters are well training, so usually when customers seated immediately she/he comes, but that day nobody came.... About 10 minutes later, a waiter passed and said "I'll be there!". Actually, that waiter was Miho-chan's friend's ex-boyfriend!!! What a coincident!!! What a small world!

I ordered as usual Shepehrd's Pie (it's my favorite!). Miho-chan got Famous Factory Meatloaf . They are large plate, aren't they?

Miho-chan is professional hair stylist in Los Angeles. She has worked at Beverly Hills salon for more than 10 years. Now her salon is located near the Century City. Please check her HP.

In a passing remark... If you walk in Brentwood, you'll meet Hollywood celebrities high ratio. (However, I've never encountered paparazzi photographers there.) If you peep Hollywood celebrites' life, why don't you check Brentwood?

Whole Foods

オーガニックにうるさいLos Angelian。Whole Foodsは高いけど支持されていえるマーケット。本当に、野菜にお肉が美味しいんですよ♪土が付いてる野菜が売っているので、“おぉ～、オーガニック”って洗脳されてました（笑）

Whole Foodsの前からあるのは、Trader Joe's。ここは安くって美味しいですよね。叔母が、従姉妹の出産でAtlantaへ行った時、派手～なエコバック買ってきてました。最近、Trader Joe'sのエコバック見かけるんですよね。日本では、Trader Joe'sの方がはやるのかなっ!?

写真は、L.A.に住んで居た時、良く通ったWest Los Angeles店のWhole Foodsです。雨の後だからちょっとシットリした感じが出てるでしょ?ここのお店で何度かHollywood celebritiesを見かけました☆ジャージ着てたり、とってもラフな格好でお買い物。Celebritiesを見かけるとなんか得した気分♪（ただのミーハーです。）

Whole Foodsは、あちらこちらからフランチャイズとして出店したいと申し込みがあるらしいんですが、Whole Foods側は、野菜などを提供できる彼らのスタンダードに合った農家が周辺にない限り、供給が出来ないから、Starbucksの様にあっちこっちとオープンできないんですって。Canadaに出店するときも相当すったもんだしたみたいですよ。それだけ信頼されているんですね～。

Whole Foods is selected by Fortune "100 Best Companies to Work For" ranking. In 2007 was No. 5! What a nice. Actually employees are so nice, and friendly. I've never met mean people there.

Anyway, Whole Foods is natural and organic market. Their vegetables meats are not so cheap, but they are worth! Especially, vegetables! They are sooooooo tasty. Their HP quote many recipes. Once you registered, you can see anytime. It's free. Try to find your favorite recipes!

Trader Joe's sell delicious foods, too. Good thing is they are cheap! I found my anti had Trader Joe's eco bag. That is a chichi design. I saw several people with that bags in Tokyo. Umm... Trader Joe's become fashionable!? ha, ha. What do think about Whole Foods' ego bag? Isn't cute?
