Fukushima 50

They are the nameless brave men who are working as the last line of defense at Japan's crippled Fukushima nuclear plants. They stayed behind while everyone else was sent nearly 15 miles away and radiation soars to menacing levels. There are 200 of them and they work in shifts of 50, earning the inaccurate nickname the Fukushima 50. At one point, even these men were pulled back 500 yards from the deteriorating nuke plants, but this morning it appears the crisis team was heading back in.

(from ABC news)

******
Japanese media reported mostly Japan Self-Defense Forces and Hyper Rescue squads. Actually, Fukushima 50 have been working with them since Mar 11 even they are sufferers.

Today, when I watched news, my eyes filled with tears. Fukushima 50 stayed at a ship. It's obviously reclusive. I guess they're exposed to radiation. Even a reporter asked ridiculous question as "so, what do you do inside the ship? Can you sleep?" (Dahhhhhh!???), Fukushima 50 answered calm. "We take a rest to prepare the next shift. At the first we barly sleep, but these days we see what we should do, so we are so relieved." Believe or not, one of Fukushima 50 apologized "We deeply apologize for the inconvenience." OMG!!! They work for us, Japanese people, why he said that!!!?? They are admirable workers!

I'd like to thank the Fukushima 50! Of course Japan Self-Defense Forces, Hyper Rescue, and local fire fighters and police men.

When I watched the news, I thought that that is the best you got (interview). All reporters should learn more sufferer's feeling and what they want to ask. I'm really fed up to watch news. You know every news on air the same thing. There are many news program. Why they don't on air different thing if we have such a disaster? How many TV report choppers have flied in Tohoku area? I know they are not authorized to rescue and supply emergency provisions. That case they shouldn't fly choppers each TV programs for save gasoline! We don't need to see that horrible Tsunami several times. We want to hear what sufferers want now.

You're complaining about all the same pictures and stories on TV? I wonder about TV reports on the nuclear accidents in Fukushima all other the world. Maybe this is how TV as media is. I hear a lot of complains about TV reports on these topics and decided to run a survey on this. You might want to help: http://www.fukushima-1.eu/?sid=91931&lang=en

Yeah, these days I'm really fed up Japanese news, however I can see they change their attitude little by little. Japanese comedians who are victims of that earthquake requested to media.

Many victims try to find thier relatives, friends, colleauge. Unfortunately still thier telephones are dead. That case, why media go on the air who stay where and who search. They may watch news. Now media do. That is good thing, isn't it?
